Toiletten machen Schule – Study
Why
We are currently applying our many years of expertise in the field of school toilets to the implementation of a scientific study. Together with the Institute for Public Health and Hygiene at the University of Bonn, we are surveying the current state and equipment of school sanitary facilities. In doing so, we are taking into account the acceptance and well-being of pupils. We focus on students in the 9th grade. The study will be piloted at secondary schools in Berlin and later expanded nationwide.
The long-term goal of the study is to provide scientifically based options for action for schools, school administrations and politics.
We have collected data for the study until August 2022. We will publish the results in early 2023.

The Inspiration Pack is designed to help you create your concept and to inspire you with information and tips. In three steps, it will help you to walk the path of improving your school toilets together. For practical implementation, the Inspiration Pack contains two moderation guides for the “Four-Senses Inspection” method and for the “Every Voice Counts” method. These two methods will assist you in both a profound problem analysis and in developing an understanding of the mutual perspectives of the different groups of people. Because one thing is clear – in order to recognize common interests, you have to talk to each other.
