No toiltes, no action – explanatory films for the classroom

Date

The GTO has developed two explanatory films for German schools (middle school, 7th-10th grade). Nothing happens without toilets - why toilets are important explores the importance of sanitation for people and nature. It summarises four of the most important facts that bring the human rights of water and sanitation closer and increase the motivation of teachers and pupils to deal with the topic. Climate change - KLObal view takes a closer look at the connection between toilets and climate change. Many people in Germany and around the world are feeling the effects of climate change - directly, for example in the form of high water and flooding, or indirectly, when the quality and quantity of drinking water is impaired. Selected facts are not only intended to provide information, but also to motivate people to lead a more climate-neutral life, which ultimately also secures our basic supply and protects the environment.
