Seminar: The systems approach in WASH interventions
The system approach does not understand water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) as infrastructure development and the deployment of local committees, but involves a wide network of actors and factors in order to offer a complete package of WASH services through them. This approach thus opens up new perspectives on development cooperation, focusing on sustainability and thus on the long-term independence of the systems.
The 2-day seminar will examine from different perspectives how a transformation or strengthening of systems works in practice and which components belong to the systems approach (including local government, private sector, community actors, etc.).
The course language is German.
