Toiletten machen Schule – Competition

Why

In 2024, we organised our "Toiletten machen Schule" competition for the third time. 135 schools from all over Germany developed and submitted concepts for improving their school toilets. In a jury process lasting several weeks, we determined three main prizes and 7 special prizes.

These are the three winning schools:

  • Grundschule Stielerstraße, Munich
  • Winsen Gymnasium, Winsen an der Luhe
  • Hellweg Realschule, Unna

The special prizes in the categories of sustainability, best inventories, innovation, clean heroes, media integration, integration into lessons and commitment went to:

  • Laagbergschule, Wolfsburg
  • Gesamtschule Uellendahl-Katernberg, Wuppertal
  • Staatliche Gemeinschaftsschule Jenaplan, Weimar
  • Paul-Simmel-Grundschule, Berlin
  • Gymnasium am Kurfürstlichen Schloss, Mainz
  • Scharmützelsee-Grundschule, Berlin
  • Rudolf-Koch-Schule, Offenbach

We congratulate all the winning schools, but also those who did not win! Every idea and every initiative contributes to improving the loo situation in German schools and raising awareness of the importance of this place.
